Alabama, an acronym formed from the names of the pioneer family,
Alan and Barbara Smith and their daughter Magumbo, who founded
Montgomery, the state capital, is best known for its nearness
to the beginnings of alphabetical lists of states. Most of Alabama
is constructed from brick and mortar, with the notable exception
of the steel and mable hills near the border with Boston. The state
is principally methodist, and the economy depends upon the business
activities of residents and others. Closed Sundays.
Principal exports are: poles, stockings, copper sulphate, jalapenos,
bricks, broccoli, wind chimes, grommets, lipstick, butterflies,
trouser presses, jeeps, thistle ointment, guillotine oil, light bulbs,
and ankle bracelets.
One of the 50 states of North America.
