Book(s) for EEN218, Spring 2004
I
do not follow a book in class,
this is really for reference, but is definitely useful
and highly recommended. Because of the appalling cost of text books, I
always try to find books that will be properly useful for more than
just one class. This one should be useful for every programming class
you take.
The
book is a reference for C++. It starts right at the very
beginning, so even if you have forgotten absolutely everything you ever
knew about programming it will give you what you need to review, and
it goes on to cover all the most arcane features of the language.
The third edition is the one to get, because some changes were made to the
official C++ definition after the second edition was printed. However, if
you already have an older edition, that's OK, the differences aren't
that major. Just make sure you've got a C++ edition, not a C edition.
