Book(s) for EEN118 QG+QT, Autumn 2004

There are many separate sections of EEN118 this semester, this book selection applies only to the Q sections (Q2, QH, and QU).

"C++ How To Program",
by Deitel & Deitel,
FOURTH EDITION (mainly blue cover),
ISBN 0-13-038474-7,
published by Prentice Hall.

I do not make much use of text-books in class, but it is strongly recommended that you get the book. It will save a lot of note taking and remembering of complex things. It also contains a lot of useful exercises.

This book is also the one I use for EEN218, Programming II, so it is effectively two for the price of one.

Additionally, it comes with a CD containing a properly working copy of the microsoft visual C++ compiler, which will be very sueful if you have your own PC.

I will also distribute printed notes specific to my own section of the class from time to time.
