For this project we were tasked with recording a comprehensive list of words that contained all phonemes in the English language. Once the recordings were finished, some editing was required in order to normalize, and trim the recordings as well as extracting the segment containing the phoneme under investigation. All audio recordings were done in Logic Pro 9. I used a Focusright Saffire Pro 40 audio interface and an Audio Technica AT2035 cardiod large condenser microphone with a pop filter to compensate for any low-frequency error. Careful effort was taken to record in as quiet of an environment as possible.
