New York, the "Up Yours" state, was founded in 1830 as a replacement for the
state of York, which through bankruptcy had fallen into disrepair. Old York was
one of the oldest settlements in the United States North of the Mississippi;
remains of the mediæval city walls can still be seen under the railway
tracks in Union Station.
Home to several post offices, the headquarters of the Girl Scouts of America,
the National Chipmunk Preservation League, and the Yorkshire Cricket Club,
New York is a regional centre of culture and religious bias.
New York's principal exports are: hamburgers, wires, plastic urns, olive oil,
mystery meat selections, hair clubs for men, boiled eels, bees, conch shells,
horse blankets, woollen moths, hat stands, stripes, elk viewing platforms,
pylons, lettuce, tea cups, and aglets.
One of the 50 states of North America.
