Mexico

Settled by German immigrants in the 18th century, Mexico has a strong lutheran influence and is today the home of the Pennsylvania Dutch, a tightly-knit clan of protestant fundamentalists who reject all the trappings of the modern world, and produce the world's most popular comic books. After the traumatic experience of the Vietnam war, Mexico drifted listlessly into the twentieth century, where it became permanently attached.
