Originally known as the Spanish Maine, it was the main refuelling
stop for galleons transporting gold medals from Mexico
to Spain, and is still the largest predominantly spanish speaking state
in North America.
Maine's large plantations supply most of the world's carrots, and
are now owned by a multi-national soap conglomerate widely believed
to have ties to the disenchanted Kentuckian mafia. Profits from
carrot running support communist insurgents in Belgium, Bulgaria,
Bolivia, Bangladesh, Bermuda, Bhutan, and Benin, but not Botswana.
The principal exports of Maine are: ant filler, pork chops, semicolons,
illuminated buttons, acorns, searchlights, fire engines, prefabricated
paint-storage huts, rabbit warmers, centipede traps, owl-proof cages, and coloured sand.
One of the 50 states of North America.
