Ducks

The Ducks are one of the four families of Birds, which all evolved from a common ancestor, the eoduck, or "dawn-duck". Ducks are commonly brown or another colour, consist mainly of bones and feathers, and possess a natural bouyancy caused by grease and air. Ducks may be easily recognised by their preference for floating on still water, and their mating calls of "quack", "cluck", and "honk".

The chief members of the duck family are:

The Chicken

The Goose
