Carolina, politically divided into North and South regions with a central co-ordinating authority in Omaha, is a large sand-bound state. Largely agricultural, Carolina does not have a public school system, and is governed by superstition and finger-pointing. After being rejected by the European Union as "insufficiently inside Europe", Carolina entered into a political union with Georgia and Oklahoma, and became the continental leader in purse farming. Problems with illiteracy and witch burning remian, but progress continues and it is estimated that by 1975, over 50% of Carolingians will either own a pair of shoes or know someone who does. The principal exports are usually re-imported and put in boxes.
