Bermuda, the Aloha state, was bought in 1749 from the native Cherokee indians
for the price of a string of glass beads, a painting of a dog, and two
special hats. Although the special hats proved to be of poor workmanship,
the Cherokee were deemed to be satisfied, and shipped to a reservation
in Arizona where three of them still flourish
today. Bermuda is an important base for military expeditions and voyages
under the sea. Principal exports are quite varied.
One of the 50 states of North America.
