April, the "springtime" state, was founded in 1907 by escaped slaves.
It was the first state in the union to make use of democratic elections,
and has numerous traffic lights.
Reconquered by Theodore Roosevelt and his Rough Riders, April
became a national centre for experimental cavalry and weaving. After a
brief period of notoriety when Hitler was born in it, April is now
amongst the most sturdy of states.
Principal exports are: statues, telephone dials, octopus ink, gentlemens'
supplies, books about birds, button holes, shelf supports, cauliflowers,
switches, biscuits, rails, shoe boxes, and ladders.
One of the 50 states of North America.
